Taking a Style Cue from the 50s! Design label Revamp presents its Spring/Summer 2013 Collection – “Classic Illusion”

 I'm really loving these collections. They inspire me and I just had to post them.

The Revamp design label owned by Peaceful Owoghiri created the Spring/Summer collection titled “Classical Illusion“.

The designs that make up the collection have waist clinging skirts and structured tops made from silk, brocades and laces in some of this seasons hottest pastel colours.

Initially, the neckline, also called the bateau neck/Sabrina, was designed for sailors. The wide slit made it easy to change a shirt quickly, since it slips easily over the head. This can be advantageous when clothing gets wet and needs to be changed in a hurry. The modern boatneck is a popular design especially in women’s clothing. It is a neckline that is cut out from shoulder to shoulder. This presents a straight horizontal opening that usually covers the chest to just below the neck.
