The jewel, crew and scoop necklines are all round in shape. The Jewel and crew are very similar and almost not easy to differentiate. Some people classify them as same thing and some as different. Initially, the neckline, also called the bateau neck/Sabrina, was designed for sailors. The wide slit made it easy to change a shirt quickly, since it slips easily over the head.
